This is perfect for our needs. Our cats have dug a hole in our carpet right outside of our bedroom door. I put this crosswise across the entry amd cut out notches for the door frame, trimming off about a 24" at the end. I can now lock them out and have to vacuum up carpet bits for the next few days.

Pro: smoth hard plastic washable, has plastic studs/treads on 1 side to grip carpet so stays in p...Pro: smoth hard plastic washable, has plastic studs/treads on 1 side to grip carpet so stays in place, unrolls fairly easy and doesn't want to curl back up so mostly stays flat w/o weight ontop.
Con: wish were more sizes to cover whole hallway so bought a 2nd one.

These dots were smooth so it does not stay on the carpet well and we slip easily. I am already searching for another brand.

Used to protect the edge of a carpet next to...Used to protect the edge of a carpet next to sofa that received heavy wear from the shoes of a TV viewer. It works well. Tends to stay in place and does protect the carpet.

It works great! The only thing I've had a bit...It works great! The only thing I've had a bit of a problem with (although for the low price, it's so understandable!), is that as it came rolled up... & the end of the of it that was on the innermost part of the roll has not chosen to lay flat... it's still curled & buckled up somewhat (about the last four inches, on the short end of this protective mat). I tried using heat from a blow dryer... but after about ten minutes of that, I had "other things to do", so, I'm just letting it be. Perhaps I could (when I have time) blow dry some heat on in, then place heavy books along that end for several (or more?) hours, & see if that flattens it... but other than that, it works great, & was well worth the cost!
