I never have used the regular Bondo. This one I got to patch 4x4 treated fenceposts that have some rotting going on at the top. This stuff sets up really tough and was easy to mix with hardener and stuff into the holes where I removed the soft/rotted wood. The hardener comes in a small tube, so mixing smaller amounts of putty at a time means don't overuse the hardener or you may run out. It doesn't take a whole lot. The putty sets fast after mixing with hardener, for me no more than 5 minutes working time. But it molds/sets up really nice and hard and I could form a cap on top of each post to protect from rain/water. I really like it and it has multiple material applications other than wood. A very solid product and very easy/fast to work with. I give it an A+ and have already purchased my second can. Thank You Home Depot/Bondo!

I wish they made a version that sets slower. The instructions on this stuff say that you only have 3-4 mins of working time and they're not kidding. So, you want to work with small batches. On the plus side, the material is ready to recoat or sand in 15 mins so multiple coats go quickly. It sands easily. A lumpy mess can be sanded smooth in short order with 80 grit paper on an orbital sander. It goes on to vertical surfaces without drooping or running.

This is an indispensable product in inventory for wood trim remediation where rot has compromised...This is an indispensable product in inventory for wood trim remediation where rot has compromised the structure of windows frames and trim on older houses and the customer wants a repair rather than replace the window. I simply dig out the rotten wood until I reach solid more stable material, apply a primer to soak into the fibers and harden, sink exterior screws into the good wood and below the target finished surface to rebuild and provide structural stability and apply this 2-part epoxy wood filler. Depending on the depth of the damage it may require 2 or 3 applications. Sand for the finished dimensions. After which, touch up layer may be required. I have used this product dozens of times over the last 10 years. It is weather resistant, able to support a variety of fasteners (screws and nails) and is paintable.

Was less viscous than my last tub of Bondo, which...Was less viscous than my last tub of Bondo, which made for easier mixing and longer set time, but the relative runny-ness of the mix took a while to get used to. Would be better if it were consistent from one tub to the next.

I like the results I got using the product. My...I like the results I got using the product. My only complaint, which kept it from being 5 star, is the hardener is white. This makes it difficult to see when it is mixed properly. I'm used to the red hardener for auto bondo.

I bought this for the first time to fasten parts...I bought this for the first time to fasten parts of a couple of concrete statues that had broken off during my recent move to a new home. This worked great as an adhesive, but be careful, it does set up very quickly.
