Overall, great little saw! Has handled my marble backsplash with ease, once I got a new blade. I also upgraded to the external pump so that I could use this during the cold weather we've been having. The pump was well worth the $18; just get a longer piece of clear hose, a barb connector and a bucket to draw water from! The overflow water from the base goes into a mop bucket I have, another bucket would also work well. Total investment for the pump addition was under $25, again, well worth the upgrade!
I would have given the saw a 5-Star rating if it wasn't for the low quality "diamond" blade that came with it. I was only able to get about 6 cuts into marble (very soft compared to porcelain tile) before the blade was done. I ended up getting a segmented tile blade from Dewalt for around $18 and so far, it has worked great! I am just at the beginning of my marble tile backsplash but feel this is the saw that will help me complete it, even in our sub-freezing weather.

Perfect for a small jobI read the reviews before buying this saw. Two things for sure, buy the pump and the Diamond King blade, especially if you project is for mosaic tile, which is why I bought this saw -- doing a backsplash project. Setup was very easy. RTFM - Read The Freaking Manual -- before setup, pay close attention to the pictures - this will save you some frustration. Be careful about where you place the pump, it's power cable and hose to the saw in the tray. I found that they was causing the tray not to slide all the way back on my initial/test cuts. Moved the pump and ran the supply hose under the water hose connector an worked like a charm. My one disappointment is the width on the right-hand side of the tray. if it were wider, it could support larger pieces of material, e.g, the 12x12 mosaic and ceramic tiles. With the Diamond blade, if you cut out the support bands on Schluter tile edging, this will make beautiful cuts for you, very clean. Only thing missing is a laser guide... next version.

(updating my previous review.)
My original complaint was that the table was bit too jiggly, though this might be something one could learn to workaround.
But after a couple of months I realized that this now completely incapable of cutting without unacceptable chipping.
I didn't notice it while cutting soft marble mosaics. But then I tried cutting ceramic subway tiles. What a disaster! Ugly chipped edges, even with a new Hot Dog blade, cutting face down did not help.
There's now way too much play in the bearings making the blade unstable.
I upgraded to Kobalt , a lot more money at ~$300, but its much closer to a pro unit than this Ryobi. Its got 3 sets of wheels under the table and is bigger, more solid overall and has more stable travel on the table. I think you'd have to spend ~ $600 to get a better, really pro level machine than the Kobalt.

Good saw - great priceI got this saw on sale for $99: great price for an overhead saw. This was the first wet saw I have used so can't compare to others, but it got the job done. Main drawback was blade quality: it chipped tiles from the start. After replacing the blade with a Diamond King blade (SKU 617110) it was smooth sailing from there on (photo of tile edge) for both 12x12 porcelain tile and travertine mosaic. I also used the optional universal water pump just for the convenience of not needing to hook up to a garden hose. I wouldn't call it heavy duty, but it is a well constructed basic saw: light weight and not too large for easy transport and storage. Definitely a good option for someone who just has the occasional tiling job.

Great Saw, but don't forget the legsThis is an excellent saw for tile cutting and an excellent price, but there is never anything to jump out at you saying you need to purchase the stand to go with it. It is on the 5th page of tile cutting on the website when the saw is on page 1. Also, the description says that the pump is included, but it is an internal pump. If you want to fill up the basin and use the saw without being connected to the hose, you will need to purchase the Ryobi universal pump to attach to the saw.

I recommend purchasing the optional pump for water flow. I did not do so and had to empty the water bucket quite often; even with minimal water flow. The miter attachment isn't very stable and the cutting angle was off a little.
Overall this is a great saw. It made my tiling job a lot easier and the end result was very professional looking. I would recommend this saw to any DIY homeowner to do small to medium tile projects.

If you're not connecting this to a hose and drain, then you need to buy the water pump separate, which is fine, but Ryobi should just provide that with this saw and add the $18. It's not a make or break me price difference. I didn't know that this saw needed either a hose or the pump as it really does not specify how it is to be used until after I opened and put together the saw.
