Very well build little tile saw for the home improvement person for the price it won't break the budget of you project. I have never done a tile install before doing a natural slate tile in my dining room and this saw cuts right through that slate like butter leaves a clean edge no biding when pushing material through the blade. I have a lot of experience working with a table saw w/ wood so setting this little guy up was simple (read the directions) and the cuts are very accurate. The water tank under the table is a great idea no hooking up hoses, very little mess when cutting the splash guard over the blade keep the water were it should be, and very easy to clean when you are done as well.

The saw chipped the end of every tile. I initially thought it was the size of the tile but I tried a 6" x 6" and it chipped as well. I was cutting a 12" x 24" tile. The description states that you can cut 12 inches but you can't use the guide if you're cutting it in half. And I couldn't make a 24 inch cut either. I ended up wasting tiles to get passable cuts. I also had trouble getting the tile to pass the protective shield. I had to adjust it multiple times and even then it was a tight pass. In hindsight buying a more heavy duty saw with the blade above the table would have yielded better results. I included a picture of the chips.

I have used different brands and sizes of tile saws over the years and felt this table top model would fill the needs of any DIYer. It also fits the purpose for the contractor that has a repair that is a one day project and does not want to set up a large saw. The saw is extremely easy to handle. The table top has a work area of 15" x 21", with a rear support table attachment. The motor is below the top of the table so it is a clean work space. The height of saw is 7 3/4" at table. All of this makes the saw easy to store or transport. The weight is 25# which I greatly appreciate! Came packed very well in the box. No problems with assembly. I did not have to do any adjustments. Other features about this saw that many others do not have are: an on/off switch that can be locked, cord storage and wrench storage. The price of this saw with it's many nice features makes it a very good value!!

Checking out wet saws I found there seemed to be only two classes: cheap price and most looked as if they would die just before the job was done and expensive way too much saw for a home owner. This Ridgid was the only one I found that was mid priced and quality and Home Depot was much cheaper than anyone else, including online retailers.
Set up was real easy, 15 minutes from the start of opening the box. The longest part was making sure the blade, rip guide saw cover were all true. The blade was high quality and the saw was well though out. The right side of the saw holds the wrenches and the left side stores the cord. The tub that holds the water has guides for low and high and they are 3 dimensional steps rather than a line on the side which gets lost in the tile mud.
My current project is almost done and I am very happy with the preformance of the saw. I can't speak to the durability of the saw. A small bathroom doesn't come close to tiling the floor of an entire house but my guess is that this saw should have a long life, as long as its well cleaned prior to putting it away.

Out of the box assembly took less than 15 minutes and the construction of the saw seems very solid. I am installing 6 x 24 inch plank tile in a few rooms and so far I have no issue ripping the full length of the tile. There is a little play at the end of the fence when ripping long runs, but it can be overcome by going slow and not forcing the tile up against the fence with too much pressure. I am really glad I did not spend the extra $$ on the next model up as this has more than met my needs. This is a good buy for a DIY'er who doesn't have to cut tile large tile or do this for a living.

I've laid lots of tile, and used many saws....this isn't a novice review. I thought this might take me through a few small projects....epic fail. With a different blade I think it would do 6 inches adequately, but anything over will be trouble. Any tile longer than the distance from the blade to the guide will go askew. I took it back to 3 different HD stores, they all said the same thing. 'Everyone complains about it, can't return it because nothing's wrong with it'. Understand what that means....as designed, it won't work.
I only paid $99 for this, and it was wasted. I need to buy a different saw, but it won't be a Rigid and it won't be from HD.

Good but spend an extra $100. for ...........This saw is good for little jobs that you can hide the cut with a grouting or a baseboard etc. The next step up in Rigid tile saws for an extra $100. will be your best bet if you want cleaner cuts. The vibration from sliding the tile across the table no matter how slow you go chips the tiles at the cuts, even if you’re masking the cut line. The rubber base sliding table is your best bet for the extra 100 bucks. So that’s why I gave a 3 star rating. I’ve used this saw for 5 months and even tried a high end new blade. So I know what I’m talking about. So if you can’t hide your cuts I don’t recommend this saw.

I bought it to do several projects around the house rather than keep renting one. I have only done one of them so far but was pleased with the results. The only issue was on several 45° cuts there was chips that broke off at the end of the cut. Those I had to cut upside down. There weren't any marks on the tile as one reviewer had said. If there had been I was going to put painters tape on the surface to protect it. The only improvement I could see would bee to have more table to the left of the blade for diagonal cutting on 12" tile.
