Rondec-Step is a finishing and edge protection profile for tiled countertops and stairs. The vertical leg of the profile hides the exposed edge of the sub-assembly. The Rondec-Step profile has an integrated joint spacer which ensures a uniform grout joint between the tile and profile. Inside and outside corners for Rondec-Step are available separately.
- Made of satin nickel anodized aluminum
- Accommodates tiles 3/8 in. thick
- Vertical leg covers 1-1/2 in. sub-assembly
- Finishes the edge of tiled countertops

This product met my needs perfectly. Instead of cutting it at 45° angles to form my corners, ...This product met my needs perfectly. Instead of cutting it at 45° angles to form my corners, I instead, chose to cutout the backside at 90° and bend it, in order to form my corners. Leaving me with rounded corners without creating sharp edges. I’ve included a “Pre-grout” photo of my work.

I used this in my kitchen when I installed 12" X 12" X 3/8" Granite tiles and it LQQKS Great. I s...I used this in my kitchen when I installed 12" X 12" X 3/8" Granite tiles and it LQQKS Great. I saved thousands over fabricated Granite since I have a Large Kitchen with a huge Island. I used Home Depots White Sparkle Granite for my Counter top and Island, Home Depots Absolute Balck 12" Granite tiles for my Back Splash, and this Schluter Trim that matches my stainless steel appliances perfectly. I did this ALL myself for around $800 total and my Granite counter estimates where between $3500 to $4800 without the back splash. I also had one Laminate estimate that was $1500.
