Rondec-Step is a finishing and edge protection profile for tiled countertops and stairs. The vertical leg of the profile hides the exposed edge of the sub-assembly. The Rondec-Step profile has an integrated joint spacer which ensures a uniform grout joint between the tile and profile. Inside and outside corners for Rondec-Step are available separately.

excellent product used it for trim/edging on tile countertops easy to install and beautiful. very nice finish (better than the pictures on line, easy to cut to size they could have done a little better on the corner pieces but still an excellent product installed it this past weekend exceeded expectations

It’s always a challenge, when tiling a countertop (or steps),...It’s always a challenge, when tiling a countertop (or steps), to form a profile where the horizontal tiles meet the vertical front face. It’s difficult to not have an exposed tile edge showing. The Schluter aluminum profiles are the perfect fix.

This product provided a lovely edge to my refaced 1 1/2" tall countertop. The flange went in deep...This product provided a lovely edge to my refaced 1 1/2" tall countertop. The flange went in deep enough to cover the curved edge of my old countertop, no problem. This worked with my 5/16" large format tile very well, and brought new life to my 40 year old countertop. Rondec has a corned piece to join this molding together for inside corners. I recommend it, as it will make your life a lot easier. To make my countertop easier to clean, I also used brushed aluminum strap (flat bar) behind the tiles to match the Rondec, though others may go directly from their tiles into a backsplash.
