The ProLock PLK05 (93178) hard caps bring an added level of layered, armor-like protection to your ProLock foam or gel kneepads. These hard-wearing, shatter-resistant polyethylene caps protect your knees even on the roughest and most abrasive surfaces, from roofing shingles to concrete flooring and their smooth plate surface allows for easy side-to-side and pivoting movements. Attaching them to your existing ProLock kneepads is simple and tools are entirely optional, just twist the four thumbscrews into their corresponding anchors either by hand or with a hex key or Allen wrench for a secure fit. Remember, when a task calls for working on your knees, let ProLock knee pads take the strain so you don't have to.

I am a DIYer, not a "Pro", so maybe that will discount my opinion a bit. This product is just the attachment for the ProLock Knee Pads. By the time you get these hard cap attachments and the knee pads, you're honestly better off using a mid level knee pad. Don't get me wrong, these are excellent quality, but they are twice the price of comparable knee pads. I bought the knee pads separately to see if they were really worth it, and I can't say that they are. I had the Husky brand knee pads until my dog destroyed them. The Husky knee pads are superior in my opinion because A) they have a hard cap already attached as part of the knee pad and B) they are cheaper by about half the price of the full setup of these ProLock Knee Pads and the Hard Cap Attachments. You could get two sets of knee pads for essentially the same price. Also, the hex attachment for these is just too annoying. It was a pain getting them on, and I can't think of a reason why I would not want them on in the first place or take them off at a later date. Overall, I would not buy this product again. I'll keep them and use them, but if I forget to put them up and my dog chomps them - back to the Husky brand for me.

These are perfect for saving you knee caps from the damage done from keeling on them for a few days. they work great and slide along the floor very easily. These are also great for any floor cleaning task that requires you to be down on your knees. I like them and would recommend them to a friend.
