This is an awesome flooring gun, the trim gun that came along was a big plus!! I bought this to do a floor at my home , approx. 700 sq ft, 3/4", prefinished oak, 1st time doing a floor for me, got some friends together and are almost finished with it now. The gun is easy to use, load and adjust floor height plate. I have not had 1 misfire!!! The trim gun was flawless also, used it for blind nailing on the tongue and it will shoot straight through the oak on a face nail. Great price too!

Worked fine, no problems as long as you are careful to place it on the board correctly. It’s easy to hook second lip and then you face nail it and have to pull it up.

May not be the quality a pro would want but it surely was perfect for what I needed. I did about 650 square feet, had only one jam with the floor nailer while I was getting used to working with it. It took me a little while at first to get the psi on the compressor right (this was the first time I ever used pneumatic tools). The brad nailer worked very well once I set the pressure high enough. It really is a matter of experience. The floor nailer was easy to accidentally place too high onto the finished floor so at first I did accidentally top nail in 2 places. Keep the foot that goes on the subfloor flat on the subfloor at all times, don't worry about the foot that goes on the finished floor, when I made the mistakes I was using the finish foot as my guide. I was going to rent, but am glad I chose this instead. It took a lot longer than I expected and I definitely saved by buying this rather than renting.

No complaints here...
I used 16 gauge L-Cleats, but the nailer is capable of shooting staples and T-Cleats as well. I installed about 1200 square feet of Bruce Gunstock 3/4" tongue and groove red oak, i heard that it is safe for pre-finished floors. This nailer performed like a champ! I used a Bostich 6 gallon compressor and oiled the nailer every 500- 800 cleats and never missed a beat. No jams, skips, mis-fires, no nothing!
The brad nailer is amazing. I have used it for 3-4 projects now and I have had 0 jams. Easy to load and use. No complaints.
Huge surprise for what I paid, don't get those often these days!

Homeowner, DIYer must have
This a nice nailer combo for the price. It would be hard to beat. It is not for the professional who is installing hundreds of square feet of flooring everyday, but these a great tools for those it was intended for, which is for the homeowner or DIYer to have around the house for their flooring projects. As usual I rate all products I review based on the price category they are in. What they were intended for and how they perform contrary to the price category they are in. I try not rate items based on my own expectations of a certain product because that would compromise the review.
Anyway I will start with the brad nailer because the brad nailer is why I gave this combo kit 4 stars. I did so for 2 reasons. The brad nailer works nicely when used in single fire mode, but it tends to jam and misfire when used in sequential fire. Through out testing it jammed multiple times in sequential fire, but the nailer has tooless jam clearing and it only takes a few seconds to do so. The brad nailer also tends to jump if not held down against the work piece firmly. When it jumps it leaves the head of the nail protruding which then has to be tapped in with a hammer. These are definately not issues that would make me pass this item up and were only deserving a single star deduction. As long as you are pressing down firmly when fireing the tool will not jump. Also the average DIyer using this tool will have no need for the sequential firing. If you just so happen to need the sequential firing the tool performs well if you just slow down a bit to a rate of maybe 3 nails per second.
The 16 gauge cleat nailer work flawlessly. I did not have any ongoing flooring projects, but I did have a few boxes of flooring laying around from past projects. So I laid down a sheet of backer board and laid out the tongue and groove boards on the floor as I would with any floor. Since this was just me testing this tool. I fired way more cleats into each board than what was needed. Firing about 200 cleats the tool worked amazingly. I found that there was no restriction on how fast I could fire the next cleat, so this will make quick work of any flooring project. I do recommend the tool is oiled after every use or if you have a fairly large project. Oil it every 500-700 cleats.
All in all the the 2 nailers performed nicely. The cleat flooring nailer performed very well and the brad nailer will more than get the job done. Both tools feel good in the hand for hours of use with out fatigue. They are quality build and seem like dependable tools that the average homeowner or DIY can rely on when those projects arise. If you have floors to install around your house or have future plans for hardwood flooring. I definitely recommend picking one of these combo kits up.

We used this combo kit to lay 1300 sq ft of 3/4 hardwood flooring. We used 2 inch brad nails and 2 L-cleats. The flooring nailer can shoot staples and T-cleats but we didn't try them. Both nails worked flawlessly, just added a couple of drops of oil after few sleeve changes. Very satisfied and beats the cost of renting a floor nailer if you have a large area. Plus you can sell it on a market place to make some of the cost back.
