The color on-line did not show how dark it really was when I saw it upon delivery to the store. The transition does not work as a tile to deep pile rug because the aluminum support channel will be at an angle to the floor. It would be difficult to rip a board to produce the angle needed.
The strips were returned to the store.

Don't buy it. I couldn't get the strip to snap into the metal track, and contacted Home Depot, hoping for some advice on how to get it to work. Instead, a flooring specialist told me that there is a manufacturing defect in the product. Since I purchased it more than 90 days ago, he gave me information on how to contact the manufacturer for a refund. I hope that goes well, because this is absolutely and completely worthless.

Don't waste your money. I bought this horrible transition, because it is supposed to be the matching transition for our flooring. IT WON'T EVEN FIT OVER THE FLOOR IT IS MADE TO GO WITH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I had to go buy a standard wood transition, stain it, and go that route. This product is a waste of time, money, and effort.
