I ordered both this vinyl cap and a laminate cap. This one looks like real wood, fits perfectly over my thread, and is easy to cut. However, it does take quite a bit of skill to get a perfect cut, therefore, this may not be for a novice DIYer. We are still considering whether this is the route we wish to go. It looks great but the cutting is very tegus.
