Please wear knee pads, and if you are smart, you'll buy two pairs, a pair with a soft outer shell, like these, to protect both your knees, and the freshly re-finished floor you are working on, and a hard shell pair to wear outside, or for rough work like setting tile or roofing the house. Seriously, these things are cheap insurance and you will thank me when you are fifty and your knees still work. C'mon, you wear knee pads for skateboarding and volleyball, so wear them when you are fixing up your house or weeding the garden too.
Anyway, these knee pads are more comfortable than most. I wouldn't call them perfect, but short of an exoskeleton from ankle to mid-thigh, I'm not sure how to improve them. They are better than others I've owned. The gel cushion forms around your knee bones and keeps them happy. They have a soft outer covering that doesn't scratch indoor finished surfaces. So far, they have not picked up any gritty debris, but I am careful to keep these for indoor work and to brush or vacuum them off as needed.

Very nice set of knee pads. I’ve owned many over the years and these rate right up there with so...Very nice set of knee pads. I’ve owned many over the years and these rate right up there with some of my better ones.
What I like:
• Good quality. I couldn’t find any ‘quality issues’ with either knee pad. Heavy duty stitching was good around the straps.
• Fit is good. Perfect over my jeans and with plenty of adjustment to get the fit perfect.
• The gel feels great. Very padded and still felt good even after extended use.
• The price is reasonable. You can spends high dollars on the various pads out there. The price and quality on these are a great combination.
• My knees feel good in these. The gel is immediately noticeable. For anyone laying tile, etc. these make a real difference.
• Very easy and quick to put on. Stretching velco strap on top and heavier duty strap on the bottom that fastens quite easily. I also didn’t need to adjust them as they stayed in place the entire time.
• They don’t slide around and that is a very good thing.
What I don’t like:
• I can’t find anything to take exception with.
I like them and plan on using these for several years. I recommend.

Once in place, they stay on the knees even while walking and moving around. I chose this pair of knee pads to use while gardening because of their ease of use, comfort and size. I have other knee pads to use for construction but they're too big and bulky for gardening use. The durable fabric outer covers will not mark or dent delicate surfaces while providing ease of movement.

KEPT FALLING DOWN — The Tommyco Gel-Pro Nylon Delicate Terrain knee pads are not designed for staying on your knees if you are getting up and down during a project. The upper strap is a stretch nylon with velcro closures. The lower strap is adjustable with an easy hook and button closure. In order to keep the knee pads from continually falling down from my knees, I needed to make the stretch closure extremely tight which was not comfortable and since the velcro closure then had limited overlap, they would come off occasionally. I tried adjusting them several ways but nothing that I tried kept them from falling down. The continual need for readjustment made them a nuisance rather than an aid. If someone is just scooting along the floor, these may be fine knee pads but once you get up, they start slipping down. Their advantages if used in scooting applications are easy on and off and no marring of the surface.

I chose these for light duty around the house mainly on tile for which they are rated. They wear...I chose these for light duty around the house mainly on tile for which they are rated. They wear comfortable and easily. Both straps are adjustable. The bottom fastens together through a plastic catch. The top is elastic and fastens with velcro. To adjust the brace with the plastic catch it has to be done while not being worn. Out of the box it seemed to work okay for me. If you need adjusting you might have a little trial and error to make sure it's not too tight or not tight enough. They are comfortable and don't seem to slip that much when moving around. They don't seem too binding around the back of the legs even when in a sitting position. Only time will determine how they hold up over time maintaining the same consistency in padding. They'll definitely get a lot of use and I would recommend them.

I have a more expensive set of knee-pads, and while they protect the knees, the outer shell is a ...I have a more expensive set of knee-pads, and while they protect the knees, the outer shell is a hard plastic. Doing tile floors, was like ice-skating, so my knees were constantly sliding and getting traction was nigh impossible. I really like these TommyCo Knee Armor Gel-Pro Nylon Delicate Terrain Knee Pads. The surface has enough texture on them to give me just the right amount of traction as I finish my floor tiles, yet the gel inner material is very nice on old knees! These knee-pads are proof that price isn't an indicator of quality; these are inexpensive pads, but I'll use these much more than my high-dollar ones. Thanks TommyCo, and Home Depot!

As a professional contractor I've utilized knee protection for many years. These pads are perfec...As a professional contractor I've utilized knee protection for many years. These pads are perfect for occasional use or per job use . They fit and feel very comfortable. Since I ordered these online they were shipped from Canada and so FedEx requires a signature at delivery . Since I was not home they left a door ticket which said I can pickup at the cargo facility at the airport . Other than that I recommend these .
