These are a really nice idea/concept. I’ve found these to be very useful and helped with hand fatigue while protecting my palms.
What I like:
• Good quality. I couldn’t find any ‘quality issues’ with either guard. Stitching was good around the straps.
• Fit is good. I wear a Medium/Large normally and this size (M/L) was perfect.
• The gel feels great. Very padded and absorbs the shock well.
• The price is fair.
• It didn’t make my hands sweaty. For me that is important.
• Comfortable with enough flexibility to use them effectively. My favorite work gloves do not fit over these. You will want your normal gloves to be one size bigger than you normally wear if you place work gloves on top of these.
• The massive white tags rip off easy without damaging the guards.
• Pretty neat idea. I look forward to many quality years of usage.
What I don’t like:
• I couldn’t find anything to take issue with other than you will likely need a larger pair of work gloves if you plan on wearing some on top of these.
I'm a fan of these and I fully recommend.

This is intended to slip inside your glove, Elastic bands hold the Gel Guard to your hand around your wrist and over the outside of your hand . In my experience I needed to buy larger work gloves to slip this Gel Guard inside as my to fit leather gloves were just too tight. I have both the S,M and M, L sets, I usually wear L and the M,L work fine for size. I tried these out with my chain saw and on my Motorcycle both needing some vibration protection. I also tried this without gloves and had mixed results. The chain saw did provide some vibration protection to the inside of my hands though the touch feel between then pad, gloves and handle was missing. Ok for the chain saw not so good on my Motorcycle. But I wouldn’t really use it for such. The shovel with glove worked well without glove cover but uncomfortable as no protection from the handle. With my lawnmower no glove it worked better with the smaller Gel Guards glove then the lager Gel Guards. All in all work better then gloves alone , maybe not as comfortable. Depending on your need the Gel Guard could be the ticket!

I manually dig up and pull all the dandelions in my yard using one of those handheld weeder tools. By about dandelion number 30, the palm of my hand usually had a painful red mark that later went to a blister.
I tried wearing two gloves, which was hard to do, and padding the weeder handle, which didn't help much. When I tried on the Gel Guard protector by itself, I immediately noticed the difference. I could barely notice the weeder handle end as I stuck it into the ground.
Then I tried on the Gel Guard under my work glove. It was a little tight, but it fit right in and it was so much easier than using two gloves for protection. And after about 20 dandelions, I noticed NO pain in the palm of my hand. It's a home run with these things !!!!
If you do anything that hurts the palm of your hand, from swinging an axe, to swinging a baseball bat, to running a chainsaw, to digging up dandelions, then these are what you need.
Overall, a sturdy, well made item that fit my medium size hand well, and looks like it will last a long time.

I can see where these will be helpful to protect one's hands while working. But I actually got them for a fun activity. When I go biking, I have gel gloves that have just a small bit of padding on the edges of the palms. My hands go numb even though I vary my hand / arm positions. I'm going to wear these gel palm pads in addition to the cycling gloves. These guards are much thicker so I think that they will a lot of additional relief. The guards are labeled for left hand versus right hand, and have a curved design. Your hands slide loosely under the elastic straps. The pads do seem to want to shift and I think Velcro would have offered a tighter more secure fit. I hope the movement doesn't compromise my ability to stay focused on my ride.

I used these to dig some very hard dirt with a pick and a shovel. I was probably digging for around 45 minutes and I don’t dig very often (couple of times a year). These felt a little awkward at first but after a while, I didn’t notice them. I did like the cushioning they provide to the palm. I didn’t have sore hands after digging and didn’t have any blisters either. I would think that for small projects, these might not need to be used but for any project where I might be digging more than a couple of minutes, I’m probably going to put them on. I did put them on both with gloves and without. They seemed to work fine both ways as the gloves I have are a little large on my hands.

I have been a builder remodeler for 48 years, and as such I regularly have opportunities to use a...I have been a builder remodeler for 48 years, and as such I regularly have opportunities to use a product like this GEL GUARD HAND PROTECTION MEDIUM/LARGE (PAIR). When doing work in the building;ding trades, gloves like these help protect your hands from abrasions, cuts, or other injuries. So I use them every day. In this particular case, the gloves were too small for my hands, so my wife grabbed them, and is using them gardening. She's now very happy to have the same protection!

We’ve been building a rustic porch out of real cedar tree logs and I have had to cut the ends of the 6-10” diameter cedar logs with a hand saw since the chainsaw was splintering the outside of the logs. After manually sawing three logs, I was developing an uncomfortable callus on the palm of my right hand from the saw handle. I decided to try out these Gel Guard glove inserts and I’m very pleased with the results.
The Gel Guards are clearly marked with left/right hand which is helpful since it takes a little while to figure out which one is for which hand. They slip on very easily and are held in place with wide fabric elasticated bands which wrap over the back of each hand.
The most impressive aspect is that I was able to get my existing work gloves over the top of them. They create a more snug fit for the work glove however I didn’t notice any limitation in hand/finger movement once I had the Gel Guard on. This is important since while they will work very well for raking/shoveling etc., your hand is closed firmly around the handle of a hand saw so you need to be able to maintain normal dexterity. I had no problem keeping a firm grip on the saw and my hand was noticeably more relaxed once I had sawn through the 6” log shown in the pictures.
We also got a second pair for my wife to make raking leaves from under our oak tree more comfortable on her hands.
The manufacturer provides a 1 year warranty.

I am very pleased with these Gel Guard hand protectors. They are easy to slip over your hands an...I am very pleased with these Gel Guard hand protectors. They are easy to slip over your hands and have snug fit so they won't slip out of place. I do a lot of wood working with hammers, saws, sanders and drills and these really help to absorb all the vibrations and impact. They are versatile using them in other capacities as well. Can be worn with or without gloves
