DIY back splash came out great. I have little enough time for home improvement projects, so the pre-mixed grout is convenient, and not having the extra step of sealing was worth the extra cost. Also, the tile I used had pretty wide spacing, so non-sanded grout was not recommended, and regular grout would have scratched the finish, so this single component was the best option. The light smoke color has a warm taupe tone, which coordinated well with my cashmere sink and tan granite.

This is my first experience with this product and I’m not very happy yet. I grouted the shower walls and floor and noticed the next day a considerable amount of little blow holes mainly in the floor. Weird. Any recommendations on how to avoid this? I still have the main floor to grout tomorrow and would hope to see a better result. This product isn’t cheap and I was hoping the results would corespond to the price. I am a Remodeling contractor for 31 years. Please get back to me and I hope that I can change my rating because I don’t like bashing something without research first

The hype is real! This stuff is great and works exactly as advertised so far. Time will tell how its color and stain resistance will hold up over time. But I did accidentally perform a "stress test" on it by spilling beet juice on the grout before it even cured completely (within 24 hours). The beet juice wiped right off! I was pretty impressed as beet juice will stain almost anything. It does take a different approach to apply than regular grout. Having a helper is highly recommended. One applies the grout while the other wipes it up almost immediately with a damp sponge. Only wipe once per side of the sponge and then clean it off in the bucket of clean water. Do not let it dry for even a minute. There is a sticker on the lid of the container that says to work in small areas and clean it up immediately. You can't miss it. Any problem with installation is total user error. Just read the instructions!

No good
It's been a year now since our contractor picked out this product for a bathroom remodel because I specified mold resistant grout.
We had to pay an upcharge to the tile subcontractor to work with this grout. Immediately after the project was finished, I could see there was going to be a problem. The grout had a crumbly texture and bits came off when you wiped the tile to clean it. The texture made the grout a dirt magnet on the shower floor, so we immediately ripped out the tile there and redid the floor with conventional grout. We decided to live with the grout on the shower walls at least for a while and what happened.
Guess what? The conventional grout on the shower floor isn't growing mold yet, but the supposed mold resistant grout on the walls begin growing mold in a few weeks. I can't scrub these grout lines with a toothbrush, though, because this awful grout will simply crumble away. We're going to have to bite the bullet and regrout the whole shower.
Don't use this product.

Been a month since I used this to grout the shower/tub. So far no problems. The color is what I expected. I was leery of using this grout based on neg reviews on the application. So, I grouted a small 2'X3' area first to get the hang of how to grout Fusion. Here's what I learned:
1. Stop grouting after 3 minutes.
2. Start wiping off the Fusion right away (don't wait!)
3. Use two buckets, one for the initial sponging and the other for the microfibre final cleaning.
4. A nylon scrub pad is very useful in removing dried Fusion.
5. Finally, use a semi-dry Microfibre cloth to remove haze.
Then start another 3 minute grouting.
Half way, I ran out of Fusion for the floor and had to use regular grout for the rest. The Fusion was quicker to apply and easier than the regular grout. I will use Fusion for future projects.

I've been installing tile for over 20+ years. I used this product for the first time on a backsplash with an herringbone pattern with 1/16" grout lines. I read the instructions. I pre wet the tile as the instruction indicated. Was able spread a small 12"x12" area before wiping. Spreading the grout in 1/16th grout lines was almost impossible. Had to spread in one direction then spread in opposite direction to get the grout line fully filed. If I had realized this was a sanded grout would have never tried. Wiping the excess grout off of the cabinets and granite countertops took grout haze remover and scraper, was very difficult to get off. A project that would have taken 30-45 minutes to complete took over 21/2 hours. The person who put on the label "easy to spread and clean" obviously never used the product or lied.Product is defiantly not worth the high cost and should be pulled off of Home Depot selves and disposed in a Hazardous waste disposal. Will never use again ever!!!!!

People seem to dislike this grout but they would have a better experience if they were prepared. Buy 2-3 of the large orange HD buckets and 6 tile sponges. Fill your buckets with cool water and toss 2 sponges in each bucket. Open your grout and apply a generous amount of water with a clean sponge on the a small area you plan to grout, not just the gaps but the entire tile surface. If you used enough water then the Fusion Pro will spread nicely, use too little and it will be like spreading corn flakes and it will fall of off your float. spread the grout on the gaps of two 12x12 tiles max and then use a clean sponge to wipe the excess (lightly) and then toss that sponge in a bucket and use a clean one to repeat, then do the same with a third. Wring our the sponges and then repeat until you are finished, it goes faster than you might imagine. Leaves nice clean lines and cures fast.

I bought this product on the sales hype that once applied no sealer was ever required, this part may be true. I would never waste $55. again on this product here are my reasons! Over priced, very difficult applying to walls with out sagging was very easy results with the slightest of moisture. Stains easy when allowed to contact work area and area components like the shower base. Time consuming compared to standard grout I have used, plus I had a 40 year experienced tile veteran helping, his comments I omitted. Requires a dedicated product for removal if not properly cleaned off in time, also a Custom Building product item. If your doing a floor then that changes some of my reasons of dislikes about it. The next day I went to buy the only product listed to clean up areas was the Aqua-mix, the HD associate said most all of the installers will only use this grout on floors. So I'm passing along the same suggestion. Good luck on your project and reading my review.
