Could not do the job with out this machine
I was in a very difficult situation with a pull up, we had a carpet stair removal, we worked 2 hours on one step. A larger machine larger would not fit on the stairs, So we rented this from Home Depot, then went on the HD Web Site and bought one.It was a really tough pull up, What took us hours we pulled up in minutes! I have had this for several months and have used it a lot, Wow what a time saver, when you scrape up vinyl the machine does such a great job we do not need any floor prep, and in 1/10 the time, and it is easy to transport and use in a small bath or a larger area, I am so glad I bought this machine, also on the Home Depot site the cost was great and the shipping was really fast. This is really a strong motor, Get one !you will not regret it,

Great, except a Screw that was stripped and loseThis is our 4th of 5 Scrappers and these work great. The value is average in the market. The delivery time was great. On 1 of the 4 that we purchased, there was a screw, part of the hardware that attaches a plate to the side of the machine. Poor quality control on that one. It does not effect the ability of the machine to perform it's duties though. Would buy again from Home Depot

I did not buy this but instead rented it from my local store. I loved it so much I wanted to writ...I did not buy this but instead rented it from my local store. I loved it so much I wanted to write a review to help others. I was trying to remove 3/16" vinyl tiles that where glued down to concrete. Doing it with a hand scrapper was not working because they where bonded very well. Took me two hours to do 10 sqft by hand. I rented this unit and in 2-3 hours I had finished 600 sqft. It really worked well and I was very happy with my rental of this unit. It is back breaking work to do it by hand, due to constantly bending over.

Not for engineered wood floor glueRented this to remove engineered wood floor adhesive. Did not perform well at all. I think this is designed for removing vinyl flooring. The larger pro model might work better but the sales associate did not really ask what we were using it for and said that type of adhesive was very difficult to remove when we returned it. Also pay particular attention when talking to the associate, a "damage waiver" fee was added that I was not aware of (AARP hearing). I would say this whole experience was more educational than gratifying and productive.
