Large Hole Solution
I am doing a deck project, rehabing some 25 year old iron wood on the deck rails and I started out using the pink bondo and read about this and for some reason thought this might be better. It is not better. My railing has small hairline cracks and the pink is easier to push in those cracks and actually i get about a minute to a minute and a half of more work time with the pink.
This stuff is much harder to push into the grain and sets quicker. If i had a large hole this would be what i would want. Maybe like a crack in a concrete wall or a big hole in a 2x6.
They both will drip off your spreader so the thicker part is actually the grain...the grain is thicker on this white stuff. I am going to stop using this on my rails and in the spring use the rest of the white on a crack in my concrete and pick up another gallon of the pink for my rails. The bondo is really awesome using it like this. Those rails will be really old wood and slick as glass...watertight too! Get another 25 years out of them.

Necessary to follow directions carefully. Product will dry out quickly...Necessary to follow directions carefully. Product will dry out quickly in preparation phase. Bondo does what it advertises and has for years. Squirrel damage to my deck was the application required. If only Bondo provided an exterminator in the kit; I would be exceedingly grateful.

It was easy to mix and did exactly what it...It was easy to mix and did exactly what it said it would do. I used it to fill in dry rot places on my homes exterior. No need to tear out and replace wood with medium dry rot.Stronger than the original wood.
