Took it out of the package, held it up to a piece of 12mm Pergo...it's exactly the same depth. So, if you screw down the track at the same level as the flooring, then push this into it, it's going to stick up. A lot.
Literally the only scenario where this would work with 12mm flooring is if you put the floor on top of ~1/4" underlayment, and the metal strip can sit on the subfloor, below the underlayment. Since I put sheets of 3/4" ply down, this is completely worthless.
Also, there were chips in the edge and a ding in the end.
