The mounting block fit the contour of the siding perfectly and is a very sturdy mount for wall mo...The mounting block fit the contour of the siding perfectly and is a very sturdy mount for wall mounted lights (mad of thick plastic). I just wish they produced a version that is just a little taller because most wall lights have a base that is larger than this mounting block.

The perfect solutionOur porch light had always had a very unfinished look because the vinyl siding on our house had been installed over the existing siding and fixtures. When we replaced the light we found this product and it turned out to be the perfect solution for finally giving the fixture a lovely finished appearance. I appreciated the fact that the mounting block was available in several colors as well as a paintable version - plenty of options depending on your needs.
