Small spruce up
When I first got this, I thought tip of the bottle was excellent--it’s flat on one side, so that as you squeeze it out, you can apply it evenly and flatly. I found that in reality this doesn’t quite work that way in a tight corner. When applying, it let a large bead of caulk come out and after I scraped it flat with the tip a lot of caulk was left over, which I wanted to reapply and ended up doing with my fingers. The shape of the bottle makes it easy to grip and hold while applying, but I would suggest that they put in a slider or something similar to push all of the caulk out of the bottle, because otherwise you’re missing a lot. The bright white color definitely spruces up an older bathroom that has white grout (which one of mine does) and is about enough to cover the entire space around a tub. A pretty easy product for a quick update, but I will continue to get full-sized caulk to use with a caulk gun for a full bathroom remodel. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Great for old tubsI used this product in our bathroom tub. Although we have cleaned it several times, the old caulking is just gross. This was such an easy solution to help make it look clean and new. I really like the design of the bottle. The tip has flaps on each side which help make the application smooth and consistent. It basically does the cleanup as you go along. I had to apply a bit more pressure than expected to get enough out. I had to go back over it a few times to get a solid line. It is very quick and easy to use. I like that you can just go right over the old caulking. I didn't even need my husband for this one! It's much easier than removing old caulking and reapplying using the huge caulk gun. The pictures are from the tub with one application. I did it fairly quick just to see how it would work. The tube is a good size but wouldn't last for larger projects. This is good for small bathroom or kitchen products. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Good Quality SealantI used a tube of Loctit RE-NEW Sealant to re-caulk the lining surrounding my tube a couple of days ago. The previous sealant looked, to put it simply, disgusting. It had become moldy looking, with a gross scent to boot. The Loctite RE-NEW sealant was advertised to be easy to apply and incredibly effective without having to remove the previous sealant, which sounded perfect for my tub. The applicator of the sealant was angled, which made it the application very easy, as promised. I did notice that the application of the sealant was a bit messy, but it wasn't hard to clean excess sealant up with a wet rag. After applying, the lining of my tub looked brand new, with the finished sealant looking bright white and no trace left of the previous sealant. I would definitely recommend this sealant to anyone looking for a quality, easy to use sealant for their kitchen and/or bathroom. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Thoughtful but imperfectSo this is supposed to refinish old sealant and it does that. The method isn’t perfectly executed but it does the job. The container is a two in one applicator and edger in one. On either side of the hole are some wings to help center the application into the corner which is nice, but the hole dispensing the product is probably larger than it needs to be because it lets out a wide band of sealant. I expect it’s wide to allow enough sealant to cover the existing sealant. But if not reduced after applying the seal is too wide. So you have to go back and clean it up. That’s where I had a problem. The stuff is thinner than sealants I have used (I expect to allow the sealant to work it’s way into holes better) but ultimately is messier to clean up. I think it’s a good idea but next time I’ll just get a grout scraper and remove the old sealant and apply they stuff I usually use. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Works greatWe just remodeled our bathroom and the caulk around the tub started turning colors, like a brow/pink almost. So we changed the caulk, but turns out it kept happening and we figured it was because of how it was installed. After applying the white renew, it worked like magic! White again, and looking new.
It’s very easy to apply. First you’ll want to clean the surface you’ll be working on, and make sure that it’s completely dry before you apply the sealant. Instructions say you should wait 6 hours prior to water contact. I waited 12 just to be safe. I cleaned it the night before and allow the area to dry all night. So far it’s not changed colors and I have faith so far that it won’t. Because the products we used before would immediately change colors. But basically all I did was apply this over the caulk and it looks new again. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

My answer to would I recommend this product was really a maybe. The product was slightly less mes...My answer to would I recommend this product was really a maybe. The product was slightly less messy than using the usual caulk/sealant. It worked great for the first 2-3 feet and then it became a challenge. The product does not flow out of the container fluidly after the first 2-3 feet. I recapped and ran in under the hot tap and shook it down into the cap and started on the next 2-3 feet. I repeated that process a couple of times more. I was able to use my finger (just to smooth the product into all the small cracks) and then the applicator to make it uniform. It looks acceptable but certainly not professional. Now however I will have to see how it holds up. I do like the cap and will save it for use with the old fashion tube caulk.

Loctite RE_NEW Sealant - White - the best sealant!I received the Loctite RE_NEW Sealant - White totally free from the Bazaarvoice TryIt Sampling Community to try it at my home.
I used it as a sealant in my bathroom without even removing the old moldy, cracked, yellowish sealant and it worked like wonders. The tip worked as a smoothing tool and I did not need to use any other.
My bathroom now looks like wonders. I feel so happy to shower these days after applying the Loctite RE_NEW Sealant - White.
