I would recommend the 1/4 IN. X 1/4 IN. SQ-NOTCH WITH GOLDEN FINISH to all my family and friends. I had a major tiling project and found the 1/4 IN. X 1/4 IN. SQ-NOTCH WITH GOLDEN FINISH to be durable, long-lasting, strong and sturdy. The 1/4 IN. X 1/4 IN. SQ-NOTCH WITH GOLDEN FINISH is easy to use. The 1/4 IN. X 1/4 IN. SQ-NOTCH WITH GOLDEN FINISH is balanced with a good size and weight. The 1/4 IN. X 1/4 IN. SQ-NOTCH WITH GOLDEN FINISH is accurate making it easy to apply glue.

I found the molded handle grip to be more comfortable than wood, and the trowel doesn’t slip whether it is wet (my wooden ones would) or dry. The stainless steel trowel is solid and cleans up easy without a lot of effort. Although I have never known handles to wear out it is nice that this handle would be removable (I am unsure if replacement handles are available and if is why this was made that way or if it was just the handle design). I have only had for a short time and only used for a couple projects at the time of this review, so time will tell on the longer life. If it is as reliable as other Ridgid brand products I should be very pleased with it for years/decades to come.

This trowel is very light compared to my other 1/4" square notch trowel, but somehow feels more s...This trowel is very light compared to my other 1/4" square notch trowel, but somehow feels more sturdy in my hand when spreading thinset. The stainless is either a different grade or has a coating on it because it has a gold-ish tint to it. Whatever it is, it makes the trowel super easy to clean. The rubber handle is very comfortable and durable. It's also placed so both the smooth side and notched side can be used easily. This trowel will last a very long time due to it's quality construction and ease of cleaning.

Can't get any better of a value to tool RatioAs you can see from my reviews and my handle you can assume I am a Ridgid fan. But by no means am I blind. I know when there is quality and when there is not. Ridgids new line of tile tools continues to impress me. I love the comfort, the durability and ease of cleaning. I love this entire line so much that I went out and made it my objective to get every Ridgid tile tool Ridgid has to offer. Great tools at a fair price.

They are lightweight with a nice handle design that’s comfortable (I have a touch of arthritis), easy to grip and hold steady. The 1/4 in. x 1/4 in. SQ-Notch trowel with Golden Finish is no exception. It also is lightweight with the good handle design and works well. I’m still not too sure about any advantage you get with the golden finish but stainless steel is always a better option, in my opinion. If you keep it clean, it should last quite a while.

Great product. I will be redoing the tile floor in my second bathroom and this tool will be what ...Great product. I will be redoing the tile floor in my second bathroom and this tool will be what I use to apply the thin set for the tiles, both on the floor and up the walls. I plan to basically tile the entire shower area and floor. I would certainly recommend this product. Just a note, the corners are fairly sharp. Be careful when using this, you don't want to cut yourself or scratch any softer tile.

There is a coating on the trowels that makes them extremely easy to clean.
