This 1 in. lead free water pressure reducing valve is designed to reduce incoming water pressure to protect plumbing systems and reduce water consumption for commercial, industrial and residential applications. The easy maintenance assembly consists of a lead free brass body construction, NPT threaded union inlet and NPT female outlet connection, stainless steel integral strainer, thermoplastic seat module, thermal expansion bypass and a sealed spring cage for waterworks pit installations. The temperature range is 33 degrees F to 180 degrees F (0.5 degrees C to 82 degrees C). Suitable for up to 400 psi (27.6 BAR), the pressure range can be adjusted from 25 to 75 psi (172 to 517 kPa) with the standard setting at 50 psi (345 kPa).

Very high quality valve and easy installSome of you may be thinking from the image I attached why in the free world would you put a pressure reducing valve in front of a water pressure boosting pump? Well, I needed a way to throttle the city water pressure to a constant rate so that when the booster pump kicks the pressure up by 30psi I'm not blowing out fittings somewhere in my plumbing system. The prices on these valves very wildly with this one being on the low end of the cost spectrum but providing the adjustable psi range that I needed. The valve has only been installed for a week but so far so good. If you need a 1" pressure reducing (pressure regulating) valve for a plumbing project. Look no further. You will be happy with the quality of this valve which is MUCH cheaper than many other valves available from various suppliers.
