The nails are fine
I have been a professional flooring installer for 35 years. The nails in the tactless strip are fine, all concrete is not the same, depending on mix at time of construction , and curing methods. Some concrete will be extremely hard, requiring the strip to drilled and nailed with 3/4 inch concrete nails , while other concrete will be perfect for the pre nailed trackless to be installed with just a hammer. How one uses the hammer will greatly effect the results when pounding in tackless. The nail has to hit with the hammer face striking the nail squarely on the head of the nail, and with substantial force. Any variation in the method can result in the nail bending or breaking. It usually takes two or three strikes to completely drive the nail into the floor. Human error is the result of the majority of tactless failure than anything else.

dont waste your time or money
Nails aren't strong enough to go into concrete, do yourself a favor and either dont buy or if you do purchase some different nails strong enough for the job

they work
If your looking for easy hire a pro. I'm not a pro or amateur and these do work. A good heavy hammer hard square hit is the trick. Don't try to bury the nail either. When you bend a nail and you will place another nail close to the bend nail and try again. Sometimes a third attempt was needed. I recommend buying an extra pack of nails. Sometimes I found I made it through a whole strip without extra nails. Also I had no luck with more small hits. It seemed to work best with 2 or 3 firm square hits putting the nail head bottom flush with the wood to partially in bedded. (Not burying the head below the top of the wood strip) good luck be patient you can do it besides the only other option for concrete is the adhesive strips which sound much easier but if you lay down plastic for a moisture barrier like I did you can't stick the strips on the plastic

Not suitable for concrete
Nails are to soft for concrete use, more than half of them bent instead of penetrating the sub floor. I ended up pulling the nails that came with the strips and using a higher quality concrete nail. Another method would be to use a glue specifically designed for the purpose. In any case, they are relatively useless as sold.

Don't purchase
Ineffective. Nails are too soft, had to buy own masonry nails.
