The Model 50P is the professional's choice. This Pneumatic tongue and groove floor nailer is built to exacting standards. From its cast aluminum body, anodized aircraft aluminum internal parts, specialized U-cup seals, to the best warranty in business, this is the professional's first choice. The 50P shoots 18-Gauge, L-shaped Powercleats uniquely designed by POWERNAIL to reduce cracking and splitting. Available in sizes from 1-1/4 in., 1-1/2 in., 1-3/4 in. in length. This Pneumatic is equipped with a special safety trigger, is mallet actuated and works from 80 to 110 PSI. The 50P adjusts from 3/8 in. (9.5 mm) to 3/4 in. Good value for long projects
This nailer works very well for our solid bamboo flooring. It is available for rent at our local HD but because of the size and duration of our project we felt it would make more sense to purchase and resale later. I have never laid plank flooring before and the nailer makes it really easy. It's a little heavy but does a wonderful job.

It jambs upThe spring that feeds the clip through the gun seems to not be strong enough have to put another clip in before the first one is done so it don't jam up all the time . Definitely not worth $500

A good purchaseIf you need an 18 gauge cleat nailer, your options are limited. This Powernail pneumatic nailer worked as advertised although it was nearly 2x the price of standard 15 gauge nailers. The nailer does not come with a hose fitting so make sure you pick one up before you're ready to get started. The only other advice is to make sure the nailer is securely seated before firing. It tends to slip if you're not careful which results in scratched floors and misplaced nails (and extra work to repair/replace).

Powernail 50p worked flawlesslyI used it to install Bamboo. Bamboo flooring is very very hard and the 50p mailer worked great, no jams, no half fired cleats, no problems at all. I have installed about 300 sqft of bamboo floor with the nailer and I loved the ease of use, it handles the very hard bamboo floor boards easily. It does not come with an air hose fitting, so you need to purchase a fitting to match your hose and compressor setup.
