I found this a good tool to assist removing grout on a glass backsplash BUT it will scratch the glass so you need to be careful. As others noted the screws could have been better. One screw was fine and one would loosen from time to time. I took care with the screws and all went well. For my purposes I could only use one blade at a time due to the width of the grout. I also found the blades to be pretty durable and was able to return my backup pair.
Note: Originally started with the professional version of this tool (#10092Q) but it was too wide for my purposes. The professional version has a better build so if it fits I would get that one.

I bought this product to remove the thin line of grout between my bathroom tiles. It is packaged...I bought this product to remove the thin line of grout between my bathroom tiles. It is packaged with BOTH blades attached to the handle. I only needed the thinner blade. I made very sure that I got the correct Phillip's head screwdriver to remove the screws to remove the unneeded blade. IMPOSSIBLE! I finally got one screw out without damaging the head of the screw too badly, but the other screw is STILL in there. The head of the screw has been completely obliterated, the screw is still firmly in place, and I cannot even use this new tool. VERY DISAPPOINTED. DID I SAY VERY DISAPPOINTED?? VERY DISAPPOINTED. Guess I will have to get the drill out and DRILL the screw out. Maybe I will be able to use it. Of course I will now have to go find and buy new screws to hold it together assuming I can find two that will fit it exactly. Did I mention that I am VERY DISAPPOINTED in this product?

Simply can NOT remove the screws in order to use only one blade. To be honest, when I was reading those earlier reviews prior to purchase, I figured that their experiences may have been a fluke, but I learned the hard way and will be returning this to the store. QEP really needs to dial back the torque level at the factory. If they're concerned about the blades becoming separated after shipping, then perhaps they should consider alternate packaging, but this is seriously an issue for the consumer. I'm absolutely not a weakling, but I had to stop after 4-5 tries with each screw before stripping them out, leaving my hands with deep marks from the plastic straps holding the saw to the card. I dismissed attempting to use the torque of my power driver for the same reason. Ridiculous that I now have to leave a project midway in order to go exchange this tool.
