Looks great and works well when installed properlyAvailability and installation instructions are the only downside to this nosing. It matches the floor I put in perfectly and works well. Here is what I learned on my installation:
I had a 36" wide stair, the pieces are 94" long, so I was able to get 2 nosings out of each piece.
FASTENING RAIL TO TREAD: 4 screws were provided with each piece, which weren't enough, the rail needed 3 screws on a 36" run to hold itself down. I put one in the center and then one about 8" to 12" in from each end. The first rail I put in only had 2 screws, one 12" in on each end and the center was lifting up slightly. I bought some #6 x 1" wood screws so I could put 3 in each rail.
INSTALLING RISERS: Be sure the riser doesn't extend above the tread at all. I actually ended up holding my risers down about 1/16" to 1/8" below the top of the tread so that the nosing would lie tight to the treads. If the riser is flush and the tread piece is floating, it can cause the nosing to sit up a little bit higher than the tread. Not that noticeable, but it is easier if the riser is held down slightly.
INSTALLING NOSING: Once the nosing it installed in the rail, it cannot be pulled back out of the rail without the part of the nosing that clamps in the rail separating from the nosing piece, so be sure it fits before fastening it in the rail. I had to pull the first piece I put in back up to trim the riser and make some other adjustments and it came apart. I ran wood glue along the top of the piece and then put weights on it for a couple of hours to make sure it sealed and it is fine, but be aware once it is in the rail, it will be difficult to remove it without having to repair it.

bit pricey for what it isHad to replace some as they do not last too long. Hopefully having the metal rail this time instead of the plastic they used to have will help them survive better.
