The feet are extended making contact first with the kneeling surface eliminating pressure from being applied directly to the delicate patella bone. These Gel-Armor knee pads are very comfortable, especially on uneven terrain, making them particularly well suited for landscaping or any outdoor yard work or project. The injected plastic button/clip hook & loop strap connectors make them easy to adjust and provide a nice secure fit. The thick gel pads are sewn on to a honeycomb designed breathable mesh fabric over the padding which helps the knees stay cooler and allow you to comfortably kneel for extended periods. They are lightweight and come with a one year manufacturer defect warranty. A quality made product easy to recommend.

I've certainly worn out several pairs. The biggest problem with knee pads I have used, is the straps just don't hold up real well. I put these through the paces with maybe 12 hours of use and I like them. First off, they are VERY easy on the knees. Lots of padding not only to protect the knee cap, but the sides of your knee as well. The work surface will handle everything I tried with them, from stone gravel walkway to installing 5/4 boards. Your knee is well protected. The securing hooks are new to me and found them a little cumbersome, but they hold. The strap behind the knee is stretch with an adjustment at the buckle. Like other brands, I found myself tightening this strap often. The calf strap does not stretch and does a good job of keeping the knee pad in place.

I would give these a 5 star if they would stay put on my knees. Despite this nuisance, they are ...I would give these a 5 star if they would stay put on my knees. Despite this nuisance, they are worth their weight in gold. The straps do loosen up a bit, and needed to be re tightened after standing and moving around a bit. This is when most of the loosing occurs.
As for comfort and grip to the surface, they are superlative in every way. The connection points of the straps are great and secure. Best of all - No tearing feeling of the skin behind the legs where the straps are. I can put up with the pad readjustments for this lack of pain to the legs.
I forgot the pads were even on my knees when I was working. That makes it easier to concentrate on the task at hand!

Oh my! These knee pads are so comfortable. Right out of the package you can feel the softness and...Oh my! These knee pads are so comfortable. Right out of the package you can feel the softness and comfort that I tried them on right away!
I "walked" around on my knees and could feel the difference compared to my "hard" type knee pads. These Tough Terrain Pads are sooo much more comfortable and easier on my knees.
The pads themselves looks like they are made of Silicone and are very thick and flexible. I do wonder how long they will actually last because of them being made of silicon, but it I think it is worth it just the same.
The strap is easily adjusted and has the typical connection points that I see an most every knee pad on the market. (see pic)

These are some really really nice knee pads. The top strap is elastic, and bottom strap is nylon ...These are some really really nice knee pads.
The top strap is elastic, and bottom strap is nylon mesh which does not stretch. Both straps have a notch and button fastening system that is easy to get on and off.
Positives:
Easy to get on and off with notch and button fastening system
Easy to adjust
Very comfy when in kneeling position
Works well on smooth and rough surfaces
Tend to shift downward less than other knee pads because of the nylon mesh strap on the bottom.

These kneepads are surprisingly comfortable and seem to be sturdily built...with exception of the clasps that are attached to the straps that hold the pads on. The clasps are made from plastic and are poorly designed. I do not expect them to hold up for the long haul. In my opinion they are the weak link in this product's utility. On the upside...it shouldn't be too difficult to procure a a replacement. A much more suitable replacement at that.

Having used these to crawl around on a rough concrete driveway while repairing my riding lawn mow...Having used these to crawl around on a rough concrete driveway while repairing my riding lawn mower I have to rate these kneepads as excellent. They are very comfortable, easy to adjust and are lightweight. It took a couple of times to figure out the proper way of unhooking the clips on the ends of the strap but after that it was smooth sailing. The gel material really absorbs the pressure of hard surfaces on my knees. I believe they are a good value compared to similar products.

These knee pads work as well as any I have tried! And I have tried a bunch! I have an injured k...These knee pads work as well as any I have tried! And I have tried a bunch! I have an injured knee, so knee pads are an essential need for me when I do gardening or working on a buildings floor/foundation. These have a unique padding system that allows me to be on my bad knees for hours at a time!
The rubberized pads work well on tiled flooring, too, providing non-slip comfort.
