the main reason i got this is the wider blade ,, it essentially does more work , compared to my smaller one with wood handle ,,, both seem strong and 2nd reason to get this type blade is that I can use my foot on the blade to do work too ,, other type where there is none ,, all you have for leverage is just your arms ... I like this new bigger one for the fiberglass not rotting and it is strong ,, i used it for digging dirt like a trench and it did the job there ,, i bet it will work on ice too ,, when the time comes ...
