I thought this transition piece worked really well for our transition from our living room (hardwood) to our kitchen (Tile). I actually bought this piece to go on the Frontier Shadow Hickory colored wood that we put in our living room due to the shadow hickory color being out of stock. If you were to put a light on it and look at it from the right angle you can see there is a slight color variation. I think it looks great and nobody can even tell the variation, after all it is still a dark hickory wood.
Installation was easy and so far it seems durable. It comes with a metal strip the tongue can fall into. I ended up not using it since we had a nice snug fit without it. Price was acceptable. I would recommend this product to others and/or use it again myself.
