LifesaverPulling glue down industrial carpet by hand was terrible, these jaws made it bearable. Make sure to keeps the screws tight while pulling, I lost a nut in the carpet somewhere.

I was extremely impressed by the quality of this tool. It does exactly what it is stated in the ...I was extremely impressed by the quality of this tool. It does exactly what it is stated in the description. I cut the carpet into strips and used the puller to pull each section up individually which made it a lot easier on this 70 yr. old woman. The puller is very sturdy and I would highly recommend it to anyone who is pulling up old carpet that is glued down to a hardwood floor.

Pulled 50 year old glued down carpet out of a 12x12 room in about a half hour. Most of the time w...Pulled 50 year old glued down carpet out of a 12x12 room in about a half hour. Most of the time was spent cutting the carpet into one foot strips.
Also pulled about 200 additional square feet of carpet from another room, hallway and closets in another hour or so including disposing of the old carpet.
I don't think there is another tool that would make pulling glued down carpet so easy.

Solid construction.Used tool for ripping out some very well gluded down carpet. As long as the carpet doesn't tear the puller holds on to the carpet. I have two of these tools. They have saved a lot of worn fingers and broken finger nails. Great Tool!.

Sure beats relying on hand grip!Prior to purchasing this tear-out tool, we would "attempt" to grab the edge of the carpet and pull! What a difference this made. Saved so much time. Very simple to use and well constructed.
