7 in. Power Pro Tile Wet Saw - Product information

The QEP 7 in. Power Pro Tile Wet Saw is designed as a portable saw to handle any professional or DIY project where space prohibits the use of a large wet tile saw. Users will be surprised by the strength of its true 1 HP, 3600 RPM motor. The power and design of this Tile Wet Saw offers the ability to cut unlimited sizes of the hardest tile including ceramic, porcelain, slate, marble and stone. The water catch system not only reduces water runoff but it recycles the water back into the reservoir minimizing fill frequencies.

  • UL approved, powerful, 1 HP, 3600 RPM direct-drive motor, ideal for handling small or large tile projects
  • 7 in. continuous rim diamond blade positioned for cutting depths up to 1-1/8 in.
  • Interior water baffle minimizes excess water spray, reducing water fill-ups
  • Folding bench-stop to keep saw in place during use
  • Non-slip rubber feet for stability
  • Rip and angle cutting guides make accurate and repeat cuts easy
  • Table tilts for 15°, 30° and 45° miter cuts
  • Locking on/off switch with removable security key

GREAT WET SAW
This QEP tile wet saw has lots of great features. I like that it has measurements on the surface and that it has angle and rip guides. It also has an inside water tank with a water baffle to keep more water in. My old saw had a slide in water tray and sprayed water all over me. This new saw is very sturdy cast aluminum. It was easy to use to make the cuts around the 2 walls of the bathroom.

First tile saw I have used
I have never used a tile saw before. But I have used other tools and saws.
Basic assembly was simple, a quick flip through the manual should answer most questions you might have, even though I thought assembly was pretty self explanatory.
I have plans of putting in tile in the not to distant future, but not right now. So I set up the saw and bought a couple of tiles test the saw out with. I tried a porcelain and ceramic, The ceramic was a bit easier. It cut both tiles without an issue, you can hear if you try to cut the tile to fast, you just need to let the saw do the work.
Cutting tiles precisely is not critical as say machining metal or cutting wood for furniture. So marking a tile and freehanding it through is possible, and i am sure with some practice you can make some nice curves and some dead straight cuts. Not me at the moment, for me I need the fence or miter gage.
This doesn't throw water everywhere, but I would not set it up on you dining room table to bedroom dresser. Cleanup was easy, dump the water out and clean out the bits of tile from the bottom and wipe it down.

Great Power and Cutting ability
A must have for any DIYer or a Professional tiler on the go. Has great power to handle a small to big residential project. Could even handle a smaller commercial job. I love the easy of transporting this wet saw. There is no pump to get clogged. It can even cut in angels which is a great addition. Comes with a great guide with a lock so you are sure to get the most accurate cuts.

Did the job great
Had to cut MS International Ledger stone. 1 1/4 inches thick in places. It was no problem at all. I could of rented a wetsaw for $75.00 a day so after two days this already paid for itself. It gave clean smooth cuts, no breakage.

Total beginner, Basic with some cheap plastic parts but the motor cuts Italian Stone, Woohoo!
I'm a beginner with any tile saw, this was easy to set up and use. I know what I want. If I can't afford it, I will find a way by doing it myself. I couldn't rent a wet tile cutter, as slow as I am, and complete one job without paying for half of this saw.
The first tile floor I created was in an alpine playhouse I built for my first cat family. The tile went over the cement floor I poured. I cut and arranged the tile by hand over a screen to look like the face of a cat. It was work. My next project will be easier.
Little things like the cheap plastic water reservoir stopper bothered me. I took my saw apart after use for safety. I'm going to find a better storage case for the saw blade. I like that the electrical cord with a take up spool is on the other side of the table from the water reservoir.
A wet saw blade isn't sharp, I didn't know that. It is not as scary to work with as I thought. I could use it even on bad arthritis days.
The directions were ok to assemble the product, but for training they could have shown more examples of how to use the different tools to make cuts.
Tiny squares of stone were hard to cut with this guide. i managed to saw the plastic guide already. I started to take tutorials online to learn some tricks.
The motor is 1 HP 3600 rpm. The blade cut through the 5/8" stone tile easily. I didn't learn how to cut a small piece, as the picture shows the cat's ear is slightly abstract!. I'm excited about this for creative purposes as well as a home floor repair.

The product looks nice, but don't try to cut porcelain tile with it. It stopped several times trying to cut first tile. Definitely not worth the money.
