Bought this unit in May 2018 for making cuts on a 15 x 18 room on 12''x 24'' tiles.Made clean cuts with ease .The trick was to feed tiles to the blade slowly and allow the machine to cut on it's own .Forcing tile to speed up cuts creates chipped edges.Good product. Will use on 2 other rooms.

I was going to rent a tile saw, but the cost was more than the purchase price of this item, plus I wasn't sure in what condition the blade would be on the rental.. I only had 8 tiles to cut (3 x 6), and no spares, so I couldn't afford to have any chipped cuts. The saw performed well and served its purpose. The fence was questionable when tightened, so after making sure it was set where I wanted, I used extra clamps to make sure there would be no movement. This is a good little saw for small projects, and regular sized tile. I don't think I would be comfortable using this on tiles larger than 12". The blade that is supplied with the saw is for ceramic tile. A porcelain blade is available for about $12.00.

Excellent So Far !
I got this saw to cut glass, I installed the RIDGID 4 in. Glass Tile Blade (which HD sells as well), & it made quick work of cutting the bottles I have cut so far. My technique is to SLOWLY feed the bottle to the blade and keep rotating the bottle around and around with slight forward pressure, until it cuts all the way through it. MAKE SURE you have EYE PROTECTION !!!!!!!, I wear safety glasses under a clear face shield as well as an apron, cause water flies everywhere!..... be SAFE and go SLOW & the cut comes out pretty good!!!... you will still need to sand down the sharpness of the glass that the cut leaves, which I do by hand with wet Silicon-Carbide Sandpaper.......anyway, so far I am very happy with this saw, it has performed well with no issues, & the price was right for my budget ! :)

Bought this saw to do my kitchen with 30 sq ft of ceramic mosaic tile, since the price of the saw is the same as one day of wet saw rental. The blade did not leave the front of the tile edges perfectly smooth regardless if the tiles were cut face-up or face-down. Using a diamond tile hand file on the edges helped. Install cut tiles with rough edges furthest from view (on bottom and inside) and any roughness can be hidden by grout/caulk. I likely made 100+ cuts and the blade was worn by job's end, not unreasonable. The saw is all plastic except for the motor and blade. It was designed for diy and performed very well. I would buy it again but, oh yeah, I don't have to. Will only need to change the blade if I ever need it again.

Not the best purchase
The motor and blade are the only non-plastic parts of this saw, so it has to be used with gentle hands. It can cut straight and square if you measure carefully to the blade from the fence. Don't rely on the inch/cm rulers on front/back edges when setting the fence. Use a good ruler. Water reservoir is adequate and the blade safety cover keeps water from spraying you as you cut tiles. Reservoir is not easy to drain and clean, so it requires a sprayer while holding the saw upside down to clean out the reservoir. The saw can last a long time if only thin tiles are being cut. It is unlikely to last long enough to finish one bathroom floor and shower with ceramic tile because the housing for the motor's gears is only pot metal allowing the blade to wag around which strips the gears. The gears are not made of hard metal, either, so its failure will not surprise anyone.
