Cash Acme pressure regulating valves are designed to reduce incoming water pressure to a safe pressure to protect plumbing components. They also helps to prevent pressure surges from entering the household from the main line. High pressure can cause damage to appliances and plumbing. A pressure regulator should be installed after the main line to help protect plumbing. The Cash Acme EB-45 is a half-cartridge based pressure reducing and regulating valve with a lead free bronze body. The valve resembles traditional regulators with a spring chamber and an adjusting screw but offers the high performance of a cartridge based valve. The Valve is fitted with FNPT x MPT or Union threading for easy installation.

Good product
I have made a negative review on this product as it produced water hammer. Bur shark bite gave me a Wonderfull solution, I turned the nob one full turn clock wise and the hammer disappeared.
thank you shark bite.....I Use one of these before 4 channel drip irrigation manifold ...[ so i don't have to connect cheep pressure regulator for each valve. I set the pressure for 30 so the pressure stay at 25 when the valve is open....... This is the order of the connections.......MAIN LINE---SHARKBITE PRESSURE REGULATOR----ONE -FILTER--------4 VALVES--------1/2 " IRRIFATION TUBING TO PLANTS.........THIS SETUP AVOIDS USING PRESSURE REGULATOR AND FILTER FOR EACH VALVE.
THIS PRESSURE REGULATOR IS DESIGNED TO STAY IN THE PRESSURE LINE .....NOT THE PLASTIC PRESSURE REGULATOR THAT COMES WITH DRIP IRRIGATION ISLE.

did not lastI have installed this on my drip irrigation line to reduce water pressure to 30 from 60 . Worked quietly for a weak, After a weak it started to make loud water hammer sound. it makes too noisy in the house. I am worried about the quality
