Buy instead of rent at this price
The project was to install over 1400 patio pavers with many of them along a rounded border. This meant a lot of cutting of pavers. Our pavers were 2 1/2 inches thick and 11 1/2 inches long.
The saw had no problems cutting through them as long as you kept the water flowing to the blade. I did replace the blade with a "Segmented Daimond Blade" instead of using the factory blade.
The 2 HP motor was more than adequate, the set up was about 1/2 hour (2 cups of coffee in the garage in the morning), and the mobility of the saw made for a smooth project completion.
My wife cut a few pavers, and was impressed with the ease of use.
Buying instead of renting allowed for us to slow down and make all the cuts that we needed, without hurying to get the saw back in time.
We will use it on smaller "tile" type projects in the future.
I am very pleased with this purchase.

QEP 60020 Excellent Machine Great Price
I purchased the QEP 60020 online through The Home Depot. It was shipped immediately and was received within a few days. The 60020 is a basic machine without bells and whistles but is well designed and built. I cut a bathroom full of porcelain floor and wall tiles with ease. The 60020 is very powerful and extremely accurate with cutting. QEP includes a wet tile diamond blade which is nice for cutting tile right away but I found it to lack in cutting through my porcelain tiles. Tiles had a tendency to break a small corner at the end of the cut. All of the saws settings were right on so I decided to purchase a proprietary porcelain/granite diamond blade and chose the Dewalt DW4764. This blade cut through the porcelain tiles perfectly and quickly like a hot knife through butter.
The folks at QEP are very friendly and helpful. During shipping the drive belt housing had cracked so I contacted QEP. They took down the information and had a new housing sitting on my doorstep in three days, no cost no hassle. Parts are readily available and reasonably priced to keep the 60020 on the job for years to come. Excellent machine and a great price.

24" QEP
Decent saw for the price, remembering that you get what you pay for. For the average home owner with a fair amount of mechanical ability this is a decent saw. It requires a bit of tweaking to get it just right. For fine work I do not recommend it. The fact that the blade guard is plastic and the weight of the saw itself is light allows for more vibration than a cast iron model. This can become a problem with fine cuts. I do not like the way the water is fed to the blade. It is difficult to keep it spraying against the blade itself. Like I said it requires a bit of tweaking to get it right. The 2HP motor is nice but I would never use the lower speed and again would use a 3450 RPM saw for fine work. The table tracks nicely and has a grease fitting you need to be sure not to overfill, because it will bind. Also the tray is a composite material, not a cast metal. The rods it tracks on are fully adjustable and stay where you put them so you can get lots of cuts exactly the same. It's a little slow on porcelain tile and needs a better blade than it comes with for that. Overall it is an average saw for the average do-it-yourselfer.

Consistent with Other Reviews
Pretty much what I expected after reading the reviews. The saw cuts well enough. (not as well as the $1000 saw I was lucky enough to use last time) Seemed like there was more vibration with this saw. I had to be more careful with cutting small pieces without breaking them.
Assembly was a bit annoying because the instructions are poor. It took a bit of work to get the blade aligned to make straight cuts. It is easy to adjust the alignment - just a bit of trial and error to get it right.
The pump is a bit weak. I prefer to place a bucket of water under the saw and put the pump in there. This pump wasn't strong enough to pump water up 3 feet of tubing. The tubing didn't fit onto the pump fitting well. I had to stretch the tubing in hot water.
Packaging and Shipping: UPS delivered the saw to my house. My son was home and helped the driver place it in the garage. When I got home I was surprised at how much damage the box and packaging had. The styrofoam inside the box was broken in several places. Clearly the box had been dropped several times. Nothing on the saw was damaged though.
The one feature that I really miss from the $1000 saw is the ability to slide-out the plastic tray and clean it off the saw. Otherwise it is a decent saw for the price.

Smooth, Quiet, well designed, belt driven economy saw.
The QEP 24 in. dual speed tile saw model60020 is a step above many saws in this price range. The belt driven motor is almost silent and smooth running like industrial belt driven tools. It is cutting through thick marble tile with little effort. Ear protection is not mandatory like many direct drive or modified circular saw converted tile saws. Blade depth is adjustable and can be used for plunge cut for cutting out outlets, could use a spring to operate like chop saw. The slider is consistent and effective, actually has grease fitting to keep it moving smoothly. More tool than expected in this price range. Tray is nice and large, not easily removed but easily cleaned with large drain. Pump works well and is plugged into the side of saw and is powered by same switch to run saw. Stand is sturdy and well suited to hold saw but is not adjustable or mobile, need to be separated from unit for transport. My other tools are much more mobile, retract while staying one unit and equipped with large wheels. Overall a step above many tile saw in this price range and is big. The one comment that most reviews write is the blades that come with the saw is best left for cutting bricks and pavers. This is because the cutting edge is inconsistent, out of round and warped. Thus, blade breaks your delicate tiles upon finishing cuts. I highly recommend this saw for homeowner and recommend buying a better blade for tile work.

some obvious design issues
As a contractor doing a lot of specialty work, was looking to be able to rip 24” tiles. The table on this saw is too small to adequately rip 24”. The weight of the tile hanging off snaps the tile before you can finish a rip. Even our smaller Kobalt saw has a metal table extension. The rip guide does not square up to the blade once tightened, so if you try and do a 45 degree bevel, it doesn’t cut straight. The hp and belt drive is a good set up - the supplied blade won’t last long. A lot of money to only be able to do what you can do with a wet saw half the price

Excellent Tile Saw
I needed to replace my older MK Saw and budget was a factor.
I ordered this Saw online on a Fri Evening, it was delivered Tues morning. I can't say enough about the Quality of this saw for the price. I use it every day and it cuts straight and on the money. For convienence I added four locking roller casters to the included stand. I have used the saw with three different blades, the included blade for ceramic and clay pavers, the Felker GB10 for Glass Tile and the Felker TM-10 for Porcelain, Granite and Marble. Changing speeds is quick and easy. All adjustments are nicely accessible. The included water pump is high quality. The included mitre block makes for great looking dropmitre countertops when using granite or marble for material. If budget is a factor when you need a great saw at a slim price, this saw is for you. I would buy another one if ever needed.

Works as advertised
Overall the saw is a great value, the motor never strains, the blade produces good clean cuts and the sliding tray is a nice feature. The downside is that the directions on assembly are pretty much worthless so be ready to figure it out like a puzzle! Also the included water pump died within the first 2 hours and of course HD doesn't stock a replacement - any water pump will do, but the tubing on this item doesn't fit most available water pumps so you will have to fashion an adaptor.
