It's built very well, but extremely light in the hands. I will say that it really does not even feel like you are holding this trowel, so it makes grought install very easy.
I really like the ground edge as it helps to prevent leaving rough areas wen working.
The wooden is very comfortable, and forms well to the contour of your hand. I also love the burned in Ridgid logo. You will be amazed when you try this for the first time!

Good dealThis 1/2" u notch trowel was a good deal easy to hold and works as it is supposed to and the price was right. I got several of this series trowels for my helpers and I believe they will hold up. thease look like the wood handle can be replaced if needed I dont know the availability of handles but I think the tool will last until they are lost or left at a job(which is what usually happens to mine).

Great economy level trowel. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the difference is between the squa...Great economy level trowel. I'll be honest, I'm not sure what the difference is between the square notch and the "U" notch. As long as the notches are the same size they seem to work the same. The 1/2" notch size is good for medium to large size tile projects. The tool feels very sturdy and the steel construction seems durable.
