Works greatFrom the other reviews I read most people clearly don't know how to use a grout bag. "It's heavy", "it doesn't come out", etc. are clearly people who do not understand that the mortar/grout must be mixed the consistency of frosting with soft peaks, and yes it will be heavy because it is filled with mortar. I have used the product to re-tuck the entirety of my house and found not only that one bag lasted, but I was amazed at how well it distributed mortar appropriately in the joints.

I was a little skeptical about buying this after reading the reviews. But nowhere does this say "...I was a little skeptical about buying this after reading the reviews. But nowhere does this say "magical grouting tool". So here's how it works.......Grout is relatively cheap, buy more than you need. Then experiment, practice, make up a couple of small batches and practice on a piece of scrap cardboard until you can squeeze out a respectable bead of grout. Start wet and work up to where it takes some effort to squeeze it out. If it doesn't work out, empty the bag, wash it out, and start over. You're only going to ruin a piece of cardboard, not your whole project. In the end, it worked perfectly for the small repair job that I bought it for.

Thickness is the keyAfter trial and error I found that when you have the right thickness, you can grout using this bag with ease.
I used sanded grout for 1/8 and 1/4 gaps,
both worked very well.
I made the thickness easy to squeeze out
like tooth paste, I don't put too much in the bag
at a time so it is easy to handle.
Of course, you still have to wear you rubber gloves
to smoothen the gaps make sure
they are filled well and remove the excess before
you sponge.

What A Time Saver!I can see how if you're trying to use this for 1/8" or even 1/4" grout lines, it won't work well. However...I needed to grout some slate tiles in my entryway with 1/2" lines. I did need to cut about 1/4" of the tip away to make it a bit larger and it worked like a miracle for me. I used premixed sanded grout and stuffed it into the bag. Much like decorating a cake....it allowed me to grout without the huge mess. This literally saved me 4 or more hours of work. So, for 1/2" Gout Lines...BUY IT!

Great ToolHave used this bag for a bathroom (walls & floor) and a bedroom floor. It works great! Especially on the walls there was a lot less mess. It does take strong hands to push the grout out, but nothing I couldn't handle (female, 56 years old). My husband came after me with a grout float to make sure all the gap was filled and smoothed it out. I was easily able to stay ahead of him. The bag is also very easy to clean out in between jobs. Just spray out with water.

Used this for masonary grout fillingI was worried at first if this was going to be helpful or a waste of time after reading the previous reviews. But for use in the "top layer " of a block foundation that already had a house on it it was Awsome!! After setting the block with shimms the grout bag made it possible to then fill the mortar jonts inbetween each block wich are almost impossible to get to because no space left between the house and the rebuilt foundation wasll! Can say I would reccomend for this application and since thats the only way I used it, That;s all I can say about that!
