My first chance to use a "bridge" saw. I cut 1'x2' large format porcelain tiles and it was a pleasure to use. Of course I used a high quality porcelain blade and the cuts were very clean. The accuracy was near perfect right out of the box but required just the slightest adjustment to dial it in. The important thing is cuts were consistently straight. No problems with power which allowed me to pull through cuts at a decent clip. The action was very smooth and the overall build quality I think is quite good. The fence and protractor were very convenient. The down side, this thing is not light or small but if your cutting large tiles it's probably the price you have to pay. I'm pleased with my purchase and I believe the capacity-performance/price ratio of this saw is at or near the top of its class.

It worked perfectly during a test cut after I received it. When I took it out for real work, it didn't work. The motor did not spin the saw blade except making loud noise. I switched it off about 10-secs or so, but the motor enclosure became extremely hot. Literally, it felt like dipping a finger into a boiling water. It was that HOT! Disappointed for $1000 product.

I give it 4 stars for the simple fact that it's better the you small taple slide saw. It should come with a longer more durable square for the simple fact that your buying this saw to rip long tiles. With out a square the tile will walk on you. You have to store the saw flat. Cant upright

Zero clearance tables would be better to support the end of the cut which can sometimes chip out and although the description says it can rip 38" tile it can only do this with a plunge cut, a full 36" cut would be much more useful.

Best Tile Saw Ever
I'm truly impressed with the RUBI DC250 tile saw and would definitely recommend it for the professional tile trade professional and homeowner. It comes with a quiet but powerful 1.5 hp 120v 60hz motor as well as a water pump that delivers a good supply of water to the blade continually. It operates smoothly and cuts through tile like butter. The blade had a nice rubber shield that keeps water off the operator and on the tile that is being cut. The adjustment to make angle cuts is very easy to perform and the adjustment for width and angles is very easy to make. The handle has a nice grip and pulls through the cut seamlessly. The legs fold up against the body and with the heavy duty wheels it is easy to move and store. One person can set it up, but having a helper to lift it after the legs are folded out would make it easier. This is a very high quality product.

Great cutting features!
First, this tile saw is huge! When it was delivered, it came on a pallet. It was secured to the pallet and the box was over it. When you remove the box, it is still attached to the pallet.
The portability of the saw is fantastic. the wheels on the bottom are strong an sturdy. The were able to bump up a step easily and everything was ok. It is very heavy.
The blade that came with the saw is perfect for cutting just about any tile you have. The first tile we cut was some brushed marble squares and we were able to cut them with precision and ease.
It cleans easily and stores nicely.
